Not for the faint of heart
The location is great but that's about it. I met some nice people in the dorm, but they weren't enough to make up for the rest.
Wasn't exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for, I guess.

I had a rough stay in a cramped female dorm where I felt like I was in a rundown home. The kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, and my roommate was super disruptive all night. Honestly, the only good thing was the location.

The location was perfect-just a quick stroll to the riverside bars and restaurants, and we enjoyed exploring the local area. The bunk beds were comfy.
My kids wished for more space in the common areas for families to relax together.

The culinary scene here is a treasure! You can't miss Elijah's and Pilot House for their mouthwatering seafood. Plus, the location is a prime cherry on top! Easy check-in makes for a smooth start to your Wilmington escapade.
Now, if I'm keeping it real, the cleanliness levels were a bit sketchy, and you might find some unexpected housemates like lizards on the floor. It's honestly like crashing at your eccentric aunt's place-full of quirks but lacking in polish.

I walked through a neighborhood to reach the riverwalk, enjoyable. The setup allowed for interactions with other guests, sharing stories and experiences. It seemed like staying at a friend's place.
The cleanliness of the common areas was lacking, and there seemed to be a shortage of dedicated staff for upkeep and assistance.

The location was perfect, right on Front Street, close to historic areas, breweries, shops, and restaurants. The hostel itself was quaint and clean, with comfortable beds and clean facilities. The house manager was friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome. The social area in the backyard was amazing, creating a fun and inviting vibe. I met some wonderful people during my stay, and we had unforgettable conversations and plans to stay connected in the future.

I had an amazing experience at this hostel, it truly felt like a home away from home. The staff was incredibly friendly and created a relaxed atmosphere. The location was excellent, situated near a historic part of town with plenty of breweries, shops, and restaurants. It was such a treat to chat and meet people from out of state, making my stay even more enjoyable. The hostel was clean and the beds were comfortable, providing a cozy space to rest after a long day of exploring.
One downside was that it wasn't as close to downtown as I had originally thought, so transportation was necessary to reach the numerous restaurants and bars.

I recently stayed at Stella Maris in Wilmington for one night and had a great experience. The managers, Alec and Ashley, were extremely helpful and present throughout my stay. The beds were comfortable and the dorms were quiet and respectful. The location was superb, with free on-site parking and a safe environment. I also appreciated the spotlessly clean facilities and the feeling of being at home in the cozy atmosphere.
